JOHANNESBURG – INTRA-trade within the BRICS nations has reached a staggering US$1 trillion (about R17.75 trillion), a senior Russian executive has revealed.
“(It is) A major milestone, which confirms the strengthening of economic ties and the growing role of the association in the formation of a new architecture of the global economy,” noted Kirill Dmitriev, Chief Executive Officer of Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
“This historic milestone underscores the growing economic integration among BRICS nations and the increasing shift toward a more multipolar global economy.”
Dmitriev disclosed this in his social media page.
“We continue strengthening business ties, including through the BRICS Business Council, as requested by Russian President Vladimir Putin,” he continued.
