JOHANNESBURG – MCDONALD’S South Africa has engaged key stakeholders, including local media, community leaders and influencers in KwaZulu-Natal on its Open Doors initiative.
It hosted the local stakeholders from Durban, the provincial capital Pietermaritzburg and Richards Bay for an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience.
Open Doors is McDonald’s commitment to demystifying what happens in their kitchen.
This is a commitment to showcase how the South Africans enjoy being made with care, quality ingredients and under strict hygiene protocols in a manner to deliver delicious tasting food and convenience.
The tour also included a show of the McCafé station, where trained baristas demonstrated the craft behind McDonald’s signature coffee offerings.
The restaurant said the tour was an immersive experience that offered attendees a transparent look at the brand’s food preparation processes, highlighting the highest standards of cleanliness, operational efficiency and the nutritional value of its menu item, all which contributes to delivering fresh, safe and tasty food consistently.
“It aligned with McDonald’s broader initiative of positively impacting communities through its overarching Together Mzansi platform in a transparent manner, reinforcing customer confidence in the brand and values.”
