JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – CASSAVA Technologies has launched a new strategic initiative aimed at accelerating artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud adoption across Africa and Latin America, positioning itself at the centre of the emerging markets’ digital transformation drive.
Announced in Barcelona on Tuesday, the Cassava Cloud Partner (CCP) programme will enable mobile network operators (MNOs) and system integrators to consume, resell and distribute AI, cloud and digital services using Cassava’s infrastructure and technology platforms.
The move is designed to lower barriers to entry while expanding access to high-performance computing and advanced AI capabilities.
Ahmed El Beheiry, Group Chief Operating Officer and Group Chief Technology & AI Officer at Cassava Technologies, said the programme would extend AI infrastructure and digital tools to enterprises, developers and entrepreneurs across the continent.
“Through the CCP programme, we are working with partners to extend access to AI infrastructure, cloud platforms and digital capabilities, enabling organisations to build and deploy AI-powered solutions,” he said.
“We are expanding Africa’s sovereign AI ecosystem to address the continent’s unique challenges while creating new opportunities for growth and digital inclusion.”
The programme offers four core value propositions. Partners will gain access to NVIDIA Cloud Partner solutions, Cassava’s turnkey AI Factory, its proprietary AI solutions, and CAIMEx — a localised multi-model platform providing unified access to leading AI models through regional AI factories.
Through CAIMEx, customers can deploy advanced tools including the Customer Experience Conversational Interface (CECI), Geospatial AI Ops and Cassava Autonomous Networks.
A key differentiator is Cassava’s managed, flexible deployment model. Customers can implement scalable compute capabilities from day one in full compliance with local data sovereignty regulations.
By removing the need for heavy upfront infrastructure investment, the company aims to make AI and cloud adoption commercially viable for governments and enterprises across emerging markets.
The initiative forms part of Cassava’s broader strategy to build a sovereign cloud and AI ecosystem spanning national and enterprise deployments.
The objective is to ensure organisations maintain control over their data while accessing world-class digital infrastructure.
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, Cassava Technologies operates across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the United States.
Through business units including Cassava AI, Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Liquid C2, Africa Data Centres and Sasai Fintech, the group delivers digital services in 94 countries, reinforcing its ambition to become a leading global technology company of African heritage.
